RED BANK, NJ – August 1, 2018 – Summer in Red Bank continues to surge with energy as new storefronts open their doors to the season’s visitors and the town’s locals. New restaurateurs, retailers and servicers have chosen Red Bank’s walkable streetscape as the backdrop for their new ventures and in doing so brought their talent and vision to the New Jersey destination.
Red Bank’s downtown welcomes these new arrivals as valuable additions to the town’s lively business landscape. Pearl St. Consignment and Wild Eye are among new retailers, and Broad Street Barbers has opened up shop as well. Wonderful new additions – Café Loret, Semolina Restaurant, Coney Waffle, The Melting Pot and Good Karma Vegan Cafe’s Karma 2 Go – continue to diversify the available selections for food.
Red Bank’s newest retailers bring even more originality and liveliness to the downtown district. Pearl St. Consignment comes to 117 Monmouth St. with a mission to help the environment and “reinvent clothing.” The shop is the brainchild of Emily Natale, a recent graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology.
Wild Eye (72 Bridge Ave.) is self-described as a “mindful marketplace” dedicated to uplifting the artistic community. As the stores owners strive to support independent artists, items featured for sale in the store have been handpicked and are intentional.
From penny candy to fine dining, Red Bank’s eateries run the gamut in showcasing the town’s culinary diversity. Café Loret (128 Broad St) suits customers looking for an elegant night out on the town filled with top-notch American, French and Mediterranean cuisine. The restaurateurs behind this American brasserie, Dennis and Estella Quinones-Foy, previously fathered EQ in NYC, named Best New Restaurant in 1996, among other successful ventures. In a space that showcases Chef Dennis Foy’s passion for artistry and elegant dining, guests enjoy the fine art paintings that adorn the walls, the beautiful outdoor dining area and the attached patisserie.
Having opened its doors this past June at 13 White St., Semolina Restaurant has already received a shining review from The Two River Times and several other publications, and is attracting customers who are in search of the “less is more” dining concept. Coney Waffle, Ice Cream and Sweet Shop boasts a storied history that began at a concession stand on Coney Island in 1946. Now with several locations throughout Monmouth County, it’s newest location is 13 Broad St. in Red Bank. Coney Waffle’s avant-garde, Instagrammable desserts like “THE SIDESHOW SHAKE,” featured on DELISH, Insider Food and more, are sure to captivate foodies near and far.
The Melting Pot’s return to 2 Bridge Ave., brings an up-to-date brand concept that allows customers more flexibility. While guests can still indulge in the classic two-hour fondue event, the modernized restaurant will also include a casual dining option, a craft cocktail-focused bar, and an open cheese and chocolate kitchen.
Fans of the hugely popular Good Karma Cafe (17 E Front St.) will be delighted to visit the eatery’s satellite location for take-out vegan and organic dishes: Karma 2 Go. The location at 1 Bridge Ave. conveniently faces the Two River Theater: the perfect scenario for a bite to eat and a dazzling show.
