CATANIA CAPTAINS RIVERCENTER FOR 2018
Red Bank Business Organization Taps The Cheese Cave Owner As New Chairperson
RED BANK, NJ – March 22, 2018 – Stephen Catania, owner and operator of The Cheese Cave, is the Chairperson of the Red Bank RiverCenter board of directors for 2018.
Since joining the Red Bank business community in 2011 with the opening of his Monmouth Street-based business, Catania has been an integral member of numerous commerce committees in town.
"I am excited to take on this leadership role with RiverCenter,” said Catania “My focus will be to renew RiverCenter’s identity and vision for a vibrant business community by building bridges and fostering relationships with business owners, residents and borough officials. This Spring we are embarking on a strategic planning process and gearing up for another of our many signature events – the International Beer, Wine and Food Festival on April 22.”
Catania brings more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including being classically trained at the French Culinary Institute in New York. As a part of his broad and diverse career, Stephen has been successful in a variety of endeavors holding senior leadership positions in the restaurant, catering, and hotel industries.
The Cheese Cave, which opened in February 2011, is an artisan cheese and specialty food boutique offering a varied inventory of more than 100 cheeses with a focus on American Artisans supported by European favorites. The Cheese Cave’s mission is to promote a broader appreciation of the cheese world, hosting a series of educational cheese classes and weekly cheese samplings throughout the year. The Cheese Cave seeks out unique products that emphasize the true meaning of artisanal, traditional small production of high quality ingredients.
“We are very excited to welcome Stephen as the new Chairperson of Red Bank RiverCenter,” commented James Scavone, executive director of RiverCenter. “As the new Chairperson, Mr. Catania will be the voice of the local business community and help shape the organization’s vision while we continue to support, represent and recruit businesses to the commercial and residential gem of Monmouth County.”
